Dil Bechara movie the most awaited one, which a lot of people were lounging to watch obviously after the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput who died on 14 June 2020 leaving the whole Bollywood and all of us in shock and tears simultaneously. Dil Bechara is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama directed by Mukesh Chhabra in his directorial debut. Based on John Green's 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars, it stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi.
Kizie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi in her debut) is a college student, an introvert and loner, is fighting thyroid cancer which forces her to rely on an oxygen tank to breathe. Her quiet life is disrupted one day when she meets Immanuel Rajkumar Junior or Manny (Sushant Singh Rajput), who graduated from her college a few years ago and who has previously suffered from osteosarcoma and is in remission. Manny and his friend JP (Sahil Vaid), who is suffering from glaucoma after an operation, JP loses sight in his second eye as well, making him go blind. Manny and JP are making a movie together, inspired by Rajinikanth's films. Manny invites Kizie to be the female lead. The two bond over his love for Rajnikanth's movies and her love for music, specifically an incomplete song by Abhimanyu Veer (Saif Ali Khan). His over-the-top antics and love for everything Bollywood annoy Kizie in the beginning, but as a fascinated Manny pursues her, she softens towards him. Kizie and Manny gradually fall in love as they shoot scenes for JP's film, only to be rudely reminded of the inevitability of a terminal disease. Some famous dialogue:
One of the dialogues from 'Dil Bechara' has left the fans with teary eyes. In a scene in the movie, Sushant's character Manny said, “I want to attend my own funeral.” "Ham dono ke pass na kuch bolne ko tha na kuch sunne ko tha".
Dil Bechara was never meant to have a happy ending, the second half the movie hits all the right notes that are primed to make you cry. Dil Bechara finds its heart through the fantastic cast and an appealing intimacy between the lead characters. Rajput gives a memorable performance in his last screen appearance.
